Louis Ghost Pavilion

PROJECT no.09
Louis Ghost Pavilion
A pavilion dedicated to the Louis Ghost chair by Philippe Starck.
Louis Ghost - A chair of the contemporary, emotionalist style that promotes thought-provoking design and emotional stimulation. Philippe Starck created a historic moment, he uses the throne of King Louis XVI and changes his production in three variables - material, technology and connectors.
Stark creates memory - the spirit of the king's chair.

Concept
Since the chair is an abstract icon and following the Pavilion's location in Rabin Square in Tel Aviv, the Herzliya Gymnasium was taken as a distinctly Israeli architectural icon. This was simplified and matched to the chair's identity. The Pavilion is a kind of memorial and skeleton of the gymnasium that was a symbol of Israeli education and architecture.
The atmosphere in the pavilion is an atmosphere of whiteness, blurring the background of the environment except for an accurate look out through the frame, which is the bar, a clean and minimalist upscale atmosphere, characterized by shiny acrylic furniture celebrating the Louis Ghost.
